Money Money Money

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Here are some of the final images and behind-the-scenes snaps of last month's Guardian 'Made of Money' shoot, photographed by the incredible Nick Ballon. Set and props made by me and Sarah Parker and thanks to Zena, Corinne, Kelly and Loz for all their help!

More Paper Things!

It's been a while since I've put any pictures up, it's been a busy few months! Here are some snaps (excuse the terrible phone quality) of the CondeNast job I did with photographer Lacey in New York last year... we made lots of giant P&G beauty products, which were quite a challenge but really fun, especially because we were in New York!! I especially love their icecream and art shops. The final pictures are in American Conde Nast mags at the moment, but I've yet to get my hands on any. Thanks to my trust assistants Lou and Amy for helping me get it all done in a week!

Images from the shoot I did with Lacey for GQ France last month. I only had 4 days to make the set so I was particularly pleased with the results! And working with Lacey is always a pleasure - she's a very inspiring photographer you must check out her work here. And thanks to Sarah, Zena and Lou for helping me with the giant books!

Theatre!

I made this theatre last year with the help of my good friend Amy Rhian. It was used in a film for a high end fashion brand (which is unfortunately top secret and the film is not allowed to be published!) The scenes were quite traditional inspired by Victorian silhouettes, and once we had filmed the black and white version we then painted everything and shot the whole thing again in colour.
The theatre itself was made out of wood and the sets were all made from mountboard. I made slots between the floorboards so that we could move the puppets from underneath. Spring Studios directed the film, it was so fun working in their studios for a couple of weeks.

Dogolympics

Photobucket
My friends of the wonderful Robincollective are hosting the DogOlympics/CanineGames in the summer, to coincide with the human equivalent. They asked me to come up with a series of illustrations for the posters and so I've been working on some dog characters and a logo. Here is my first one! More to folloW Woof.

SHAPES!

I was commissioned by Brand Advocate to make 2 paper explosions for estate agent, Domus Nova's windows. They wanted me to use the brand colours as well as photographs of their properties. With a wonderful workforce behind me, we made 1000s (yes, 1000s) of cubes and geometric shapes out of coloured paper and photographs and hung them with fishing wire to a board. We only had an evening to install the 2 'explosions' so we prepared them in Brand Advocate's office and transported them to Domus Nova once they had been made. Inevitably there were some casualties in transit but after a few hours all shapes were in place and looked good! (one of the two windows is in the photo above). I need to get some pictures of them in the day time! Huge thanks to all those who came and helped me cut, score, glue and hang all those shapes!! - Sarah Jane, Laura, Lydia, Zena, Colleen, Laurie, Maricor and Maricar!!

Boom!

Back in August, I made a set of 'booms' made up of 100s of cones for estate agent, Domus Nova's window in Notting Hill - here are some pictures of the finished things and the 'making of'. Commissioned by Brand Advocate and big thanks to Lou and Amy for their amazing help.
